JOHOR BARU: THE Chill Coffee House is having a nasi briyani and nasi mendy promotion until the end of October.
The nasi briyani is priced at RM10.90 nett while the nasi mendy (a popular Arab dish) is priced at RM14.90 nett. Both sets come with a free flow of masala tea.
Restaurant manager Md Fahmi Ali said the nasi briyani and nasi mendy promotion was only available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Diners can choose dalca, acar jelatah, salata hara (an Arabic dish made of tomato, green chilli and coriander leaves) and ayam mendy to go with the rice.
Md Fahmi said diners could also order the mocktail of the month, assam boi madness, at RM12 nett.
On weekdays, diners can go for the "1chill Malay" set lunch, which comes with a free flow of cordial drink, at RM12.90 nett.
Those who like Western cuisine can try the "delichillious" set meal, which includes the soup of the day, a main course and free flow of cordial drink, at RM17.90 nett.
For the main course, customers have a choice of chicken roulade, fish and chips, and chicken chop.
Md Fahmi said some of the waiters and cooks were students who were pursuing hospitality diploma programmes in hotel management, restaurant management, culinary arts or event management.
"The students will assist the chefs and other staff so that they can have a hands-on working experience."
He said the restaurant was popular with people who work in the industrial area near the college.
Chill Coffee House opened a year ago. It is an outlet of KFCH International College, a subsidiary of KFC Holdings (M) Bhd.
The outlet is at 1, Jalan Dato Onn, Bandar Dato Onn, here. It opens daily from 10am to 6pm.
